Equation of perpendicular line

\\ \sf\dashrightarrow 3y=x-6

\\ \sf\dashrightarrow y=(1)/(3)x-2

Comparing with y=mx+b

  • m=1/3

Slope of perpendicular line=-3

Passing through (2,-5)

Equation of line in point slope form

\\ \sf\dashrightarrow y-y_1=m(x-x_1)

\\ \sf\dashrightarrow y+5=-3(x-2)

\\ \sf\dashrightarrow y+5=-x+6

\\ \sf\dashrightarrow x+y-1=0
