Keep the 3 on the left side of the decimal...you will have 3.something Next change the 2/5 to a decimal. If you're allowed to use a calculator, do 2÷5 and you get .4 IF you're not allowed to use a calculator, multiply 2/5 × 2/2 and get 4/10 which is the decimal we all say point 4 but that is officially read as four tenths, the decimal and the fraction sound the same! ...So your final answer is 3.4
