Answer:

basically she replaced the value of x in the first box with the x in the equation in the lower box

Explanation:

for example in the top box of question 9 is 0, and the equation is y = -x+3

she took the 0 and replaced it with x

now the equation is y = -(0) + 3, which now makes y = 3, which is why she wrote 3 in the box. for the 2nd box the x is 1 so she took the 1 and made the qeuation y = -(1) + 3, giving her y = 2.

she then plotted the points (0,3) and (1,2) and created a line

she then looked at her line and picked out another point except for the ones already used, and that was her "different solution"
