→ Find the change in x

-8--5 = -3

→ Find the change in y

-4--3 = -1

→ Divide them by each other

y = 3x + c

→ Substitute in ( -3 , -5 )

-5 = -9 + c

→ Find c

c = 4

→ Rewrite equation

y = 3x + 4
