5x² - 2x - 7

Explanation:

(3x² + +x – 14) + (2x² – 3x + 7)

Remove parenthesis

3x² + x - 14 + 2x² - 3x + 7

Combine like terms ( like terms are those that have the same variable and degree, ex. 2x² and 3x² are like terms as they both have x as a variable and a degree of 2 )

3x² + 2x² = 5x²

x - 3x = -2x

-14 + 7 = -7

We then add everything back up

5x² - 2x - 7 should be the answer
