Step-by-step explanation:

Argumentative Writing Essay -- Planning:

Paragraph 1: Introduction

  • Hook/Attention-Grabber (1-2 sentences)
  • Use a statement, question, quote, fact, etc., related to the topic to grab your readers' attention

  • Background Information (2-3 sentences)
  • Give context to your readers. What do they need to know about school and your topic to understand your argument?

  • Main Argument/Claim (1 sentence)
  • State your opinion clearly in a single, complete sentence. Don’t put any reasons for your opinion yet.

I suggest writing about climate change, and the other pov that there isn’t any need to do anything about it. There is so much information out there that you can easily paraphrase. Make sure to cite sources no matter the subject (teachers love that)
