mean: add up all the numbers, then divide by how many numbers there are.
[ ex: 10+14+6+2=32
32/4=8. 8 would by the mean in THIS example ]

step-by-steph explanation:
first, we need to find the LCM (least common multiple). the LCM is 20 because the denominators of each fraction can be multiplied by a number in order to get 20.
1/2 • 10/10 = 10/20
3/2 • 10/10 = 30/20
3/4 • 5/5 = 15/20
2/5 • 4/4 = 8/20
7/10 • 2/2 = 14/20

Then we can add all of these numbers.
10/20 + 30/20 + 15/20 + 8/20 + 14/20
= 77/20

Then we can divide the amount of numbers, five, by 77/20.
