F(-17) because you plug -8 into x so 2•-8-1 which then times 2 and -8 get -16, then -16-1 is -17, have a good day/night!!

Explanation:

f(x) = 2x - 1

Putting value of x = - 8

f(-8) = 2(-8) - 1

= - 16 - 1

= - 17
