- 2x + 4y = 4


2x + 8y = 8

Add the systems together:


2x - 2x + 4y + 8y = 4 + 8


12y = 12


y = 1

Substitute y=1 in any equation:


2x + 8(1) = 8


2x + 8 \: = 8


2x = 0


x = 0

Define point A as the intersection between the two lines:
