I'm not sure you mean 2-(b/3) = -5/2 or (2-b)/3 = -5/2

Explanation:

if

2-(b/3) = -5/2

12-2b = -15

12+15 = 2b

27 = 2b

27/2 = b

else

(2-b)/3 = -5/2

2(2-b) = -5×3

4-2b = -15

4+15 = 2b

19 = 2b

19/2 = b
