Why is it difficult to stop taking drugs?

This is because the brain and body have adapted to the effects that the drugs are supposed to give off. This is known as “tolerance” and if you build up a tolerance for a drug or alcohol, when you want to stop using it, you may have bad physical and psychological reactions (referred to as going through withdrawals)

Addictive drugs , some people use drugs to replace traumas and fears and get so addicted to “ feeling numb”
