How do you determine the height of trees?

Basic trigonometry is required to calculate tree height: h = Tan A x d, where h is the tree height, d is the distance from the tree, and A is the angle to the tree's top. You must know your eye height because your measurements will be taken at eye level (height of your eye above the ground).
