First, you can add up 4+2 to get 6 because they’re both rates.
Next, divide 18 by 6 and you get 3.
So, it will take three hours for the boys to meet up.
One way to check your answer is to multiply 4x3=12 and 2x3=6 and 12+6 is 18.
