The ratio of the width to the length of a rectangle is 3 to 5.

The perimeter of the rectangle is 64 cm.
What are the width and length of the rectangle?

Explanation:

let width= 3x and length = 5x

perimeter = 64cm

now perimeter = 2(length+width)

64= 2(3x+5x)

64 = 16x

x = 4

therefore width= 3 X 4 = 12

length = 5 X 4 = 20
