b= -1/5

Explanation:

Though a variable's sign changes when it is multiplied by -1, its absolute value does not. Therefore, we can eliminate the 1:

1/5+b=0

b+1-1/5=0-1/5

b+0/5= 0 -1/5

b=0 -1/5

and you have b= -1/5 as your answer
