A little help can do a lot for me

1.what is full moon,
new moon,
first quarter,
last quarter?
2. explain solar ecplise and lunar ecplise.
3. diamond is hard but graphite is soft why?
4. why is there difference between of nearly 2days5hours between siderial month and synodic month?

Answer:

1.) Full moon is when the moon is fully illuminated(visible)from earth's perspective.

New Moon is the First Lunar phase.

First quarter occurs halfway between new and full moon.

Last quarter is after the full moon half of the moon is visible by the sun.

2.)

Solar eclipse where the moon is covering the sun Completely. Earth, Moon, and sun are in a straight line.

Lunar eclipse where the moon passes earth's shadow

3.)

Diamond/Graphite. Its because of the Hardness Scale of the materials. It starts at 1( the softest) Talc and 10(Hardest) Diamond. the Surface and texture and streak line also play a part in this. But Diamond is the hardest because of how much pressure it can withstand.
