Martin Luther was a German priest. He was famous for nailing the 95 Theses to a church door which started the protestant reformation around Europe. Two of the biggest parts of 95 Theses were to have church in the native tongue of the country so people would be able to understand instead of it being English and not being able to pay to have your sins wiped.
