The width of a rectangle is (4x + 3) in. The length of the rectangle is twice the width. Find the area of the rectangle in terms of the variable x.

Explanation:

Width = 4x + 3

Length = 2(4x + 3) = 8x + 6

Area = Width x Length

Area = (4x + 3)(8x + 6)

Area = 32x² + 24x + 24x + 18

Area = 32x² + 48x + 18
