Being able to communicate effectively is an essential skill for maintaining your personal safety and interests, while still respecting the

safety and interests of others. The use of "back-pocket" comments, discussed several times in the videos, can be useful when you
need to de-escalate a situation and/or remove yourself from what is happening. They are most effective when communicated calmly
but firmly, and you are confident in your ability to stand up to the situation.
For this Call to Action assignment, write down three "back-pocket" comments that you believe would be most relevant or useful in
your life. Think about when these might be useful and when you may need to use them in the future. Then, practice saying them
confidently, firmily, but respectfully to a friend or someone your trust.
