Solution :-

Given logarithmic equation is ,

`\longrightarrow log_7(2x +17) = 2`

As we know that ,

`\longrightarrow log_a b = c`

can be rewritten as ,

`\longrightarrow a^c = b`

So , that

`\longrightarrow 7^2 = 2x + 17`

Simplify ,

`\longrightarrow 49 = 2x + 17`

Subtract 17 from both sides ,

`\longrightarrow 2x = 32`

Divide both sides by 2 ,

`\longrightarrow x = 16`

Hence the required answer is 16 .
