Given :-

  • log 7( 2x +17) = 2 .

To Find :-

  • The value of x .

Solution :-

Given logarithmic equation is ,

\longrightarrow log_7(2x +17) = 2

As we know that ,

\longrightarrow log_a b = c

can be rewritten as ,

\longrightarrow a^c = b

So , that

\longrightarrow 7^2 = 2x + 17

Simplify ,

\longrightarrow 49 = 2x + 17

Subtract 17 from both sides ,

\longrightarrow 2x = 32

Divide both sides by 2 ,

\longrightarrow x = 16

Hence the required answer is 16 .
