Terminal side passes through (9,8 ) . So it is in first quadrant . The perpendicular will be 8u and base 9u .

For finding hypotenuse ,

=> h = √9² + 8² u

=> h = √81+64 u

=> h = √145 u

As we know that ,

=> sec∅ = hypotenuse/base

=> sec∅ = √145/9
