So we are given the ratio 3:7. If we want to share $450 in the smaller share, which would be the 3, we’d need to work out what $450/3 is… so then we can multiply the answer by the 7 to work out the larger share. $450/3 = $150. So then we do $150 x 7 = $1050.
So $1050 is the larger share.
