Answer:
x=100

If the equation is
x+\frac45 x = 180 we add on the LHS:
x(1+\frac45) = 180 \rightarrow x(\frac55+\frac45)= 180\\\frac95 x = 180

At this point we divide both sides by 9 and multiply by 5:


x=\frac 59 (180) = \frac59 (2* 9 * 10) = 100

The answer is 100.

Explanation:

I started with solving 4 divided by 5. It was 0.8. I then started going thru 1 to 10 to 20 to 50 to 100. I was comparing big numbers. I then realized 100+0.8 times 100 = 180!
