Answer:

Given ,

Perimeter of square = 48 cm

In the question , it has been said that the square is cût into identical rectangles. Therefore ,

  • length of rectangle = side of square
  • breadth of rectangle = side of square / 2

To find - Perimeter of each rectangle formed by cûtting the square into half.

\huge\red{ ★\:Aᥒsᥕᥱr -}

\bold{perimeter \: of \: square = 48 \: cm} \\ \\\bold{ 4 * side = 48 \: cm} \\ \\\bold{side = \cancel(48)/(4)} \\ \\ \fbox\blue{side\:of\:square= 12 \: cm}

thus , as stated above ,

\bold{length \: of \: rectangle = 12 \: cm} \\\bold{ breadth \: of \: rectangle = (12)/(2) = 6 \: cm}

Therefore ,

\bold{perimeter \: of \: rectangle = 2(l + b)} \\ = 2(12 + 6) \\ = 2(18) \\ \fbox\pink{Perimeter\:of\:rectangle\: = 36 \: cm}
