After that we find the area of the half circles, In this case I'm going to assume the half circles have the same diameter. The diameter in 2cm, and the radius is half of the diameter. Sine you need the radius to find the area of the circle we will divide the diameter by 2. So 2 ÷ 2 is 1. Then with this radius we will use the formula for the area of a circle, πr².

3.14cm²

In most half circles you would divide by two cince this formula calculates the area of a full circle, but two identical half circles is the same as one full circle.

Add the area of the half circles to the area of the rectangle and you get your answer!

10cm²+3.14cm²=

13.14cm²
