Describe what happens to these four substances, light energy, and chemical energy during photosynthesis. Then write a simple equation for the substances and another for energy, using words and arrows to illustrate these changes.

The four substances recycled during photosynthesis and respiration are carbon dioxide, water, oxygen and glucose.Photosynthesis makes the glucose that is used in cellular respiration to make ATP. The glucose is then turned back into carbon dioxide, which is used in photosynthesis. While water is broken down to form oxygen during photosynthesis, in cellular respiration oxygen is combined with hydrogen to form water.
