the area of a circle is pi * r²

pi =~3.14

circle area = 3.14 * (3.5 * 3.5)

circle area = 3.14 * 12.25

circle area = 38.465 cm²

Ok, now that we have the white area, the green area is basically the full area of the square minus the white area, agree?

the side of the square is 3.5 + 3.5, which is 7 cm

square area = 7 * 7

square area = 49 cm²

green area = 49 - 38.465

green area = 10.535 cm²
