Kinetic energy only exist if object has motion.
At point 3 , kinetic energy is highest.
* 5.0
We know that,
Kinetic energy
= =mo?
Where m is mass of pendulum and v is speed of
pendulum.
Since the mass of the pendulum would not
change, the only way for kinetic energy to
change is for the speed of the pendulum to
change.
Kinetic energy is highest when the velocity is the
highest. This occurs at the bottom of the
pendulum.
At the lowest point (Point 3 ) the pendulum has its
greatest speed. All of the energy in the
pendulum is kinetic energy and there is no
gravitational potential energy.
