solve x-2y=12 if the domain is {-3,-1,0,2,5}

x - 2y = 12

-2y = -x + 12

2y = x - 12

y = (x - 12)/2 = (1/2)x - 6

x = -3

y = 1/2 × -3 - 6 = -1.5 - 6 = -7.5

x = -1

y = 1/2 × -1 - 6 = -0.5 - 6 = -6.5

x = 0

y = 1/2 × 0 - 6 = -6

x = 2

y = 1/2 × 2 - 6 = 1 - 6 = -5

x = 5

y = 1/2 × 5 - 6 = 2.5 - 6 = -3.5

so, the corresponding range of the function is

{-7.5, -6.5, -6, -5, -3.5}
