remainder = 21

Explanation:

If f(x) is divided by (x - h) then the remainder is f(h)

Here f(x) is divided by (x - 2) with h = 2 , then remainder is

f(2) = 4(2) + 3(2)² + 1 = 8 + 3(4) + 1 = 8 + 12 + 1 = 21
