The area (A) of a triangle is calculated as

(1)/(2) bh ( b is the base and h the perpendicular height )

Here b = 4.6 and h = 2.5 , then

A =
(1)/(2) × 4.6 × 2.5 = 2.3 × 2.5 ≈ 5.8 cm² ( to 1 dec. place )
