So for Shop A 10, a pack of 10 pens is going to be 2.30. To get to 70 pens we must multiply

7x2.30

=$16.10

For Shop B you must first divide

70 divided by 5 = 14 packs of pens in total, divide 14 by 2 because half of the packs will be half off.

so, 7x1.60

=$11.20- then divide 1.60 by 2 = $0.80,

then multiply by 7

=$5.60, then add the the two numbers for Shop B,

$11.20 + $5.60= 16.80

Explanation:

So if you buy pens from Shop A you will spend $16.10, If your buying pens for Shop B you will spend $16.80

The difference from buying pens from Shop A and Shop B would be $0.70
