Hey there!

A geometric sequence is where we use multiplication or division to get to the next term.

In this case, we use multiplication (we multiply every term by 3)

So we have

-1, -3, -9, -27, -81, -243...

Steps:

  • Since we multiply every term by 3, we multiply -9 times 3. then we multiply the product of 9 & 3 times 3, and so on...

Hope everything is clear.
