Never talk about yourself too much. The other person might think you are a narcissist which is most likely not the goal. You want to find out the other's interests, and unless they ask you they don't need to know how old your dog is.

Don't be on your phone to much either. This comes across as uninterested and bored. You might miss some vital information, too. What if your date has a peanut allergy but you don't know because you were texting? You want to talk to your date and find out that stuff. Unless you are texting them, don't use your phone.

Also I wrote this in like 5 minutes so it sucks but hopefully you can get some stuff from it.

Always Make An Effort To Be On Time, Put Your D*mn Phone Away Acknowledge That Awkwardness Is Just Part Of The Game, Be Honest About What You're Looking For, Come Clean About Your Circumstances, Don't Be Too Judgmental, If You Like Them, Make A Lot Eye Contact. ( G O O G L E)

And if you dont like the rules then blame it on G O O G L E. But do whatever and remeber being shy on your first date is normal so be your self thats what your date wants to see is YOU JUST YOURSELF so be yourseld and "Like Water" Inspired by the lengend Bruce Lee.
