The area of a normal full circle is given by;

a = \pi \: r {}^(2)

but since i want a semi circle, i would want that area to be split into 2, right?

So our new equation for the area of a semi circle is given by;

a = \frac{\pi \: r {}^(2) }{2}

where r is the radius of our semi-circle.

The radius is half the diameter, so the radius here would be 24/2 =12

a = \frac{\pi * 12 {}^(2) }{2} = (144\pi)/(2) = 72\pi = 72 * 3.14159... = 226.194

Answer:

12

Step-by-step explanation: this is because if the circle is 24 then half the circle should be 12 if not then I don’t know your on you own
