These two right rectangular prisms have square bases and the same height, 8 cm. The length of s1, the sides of the base of the smaller prism, is 3 cm. The length of s2, the sides of the base of the larger prism, is 18 cm. How many times as great as V1, the volume of the smaller prism, is V2, the volume of the larger prism?

Explanation:

(3x3x8)/2 = 72

(18x18x8)/2 = 2592

2592/72=36 so the small one is 36 times larger than the small one.
