the sum of the internal angles of a triangle is 180 °, from the equal sides it is understood that it is isosceles, therefore it has 2 sides and two equal angles (angle A and angle B) so both A and B are 34 °, x - 5 = 34 °

we find the value of 4y

180 - 34 - 34 = 112

now we find the value of y

4y = 112°

y = 112 : 4

y = 28
