40 divided by 1/4

Explanation:

When multiplying or dividing by a fraction, dividing will (I think) always result in a larger number than multiplying. This is because you are multiplying a number by less than one, but when you divide, you are dividing by a number less than 1 (which will result in more).

We can also prove this by solving them, 40 x 1/4 = 10 while 40 divided by 1/4 is equal to 160. This math speaks for itself. :)
