Someone help this is physical science 8th grade

Why does the colored filter transform the white light of the leds inside of the lamps into red green and blue

This is because the red filter only allows red light through. The other colours(wavelengths) of the spectrum are absorbed. Similarly, a green filter only allows green light through.
