This is a very odd question, but I don't want a "yeah" answer

In theory, couldn't chapstick be used as lotion for your hands? If it helps your lips, can't it help other parts of your body? Plus, chapstick is used to moving with your lips. Our hands move a lot, so wouldn't it work?

I know this is odd, I just got curious.

Answer:

Probably because chapstick can't really harm you and plus chapstick is used for dry crusty lips so why can't it be used for dry crusty hands and other parts of your body.

I saw that it could be used as lotion for small areas of dry skin like elbows or something but not full arms and legs.

Lotion is made to absorb into skin (that's why it's a liquidy substance), compared to chapstick thats made to lock in moisture on your lips (that's why it's a waxy stick). if you were to rub a bar of chapstick all over your arms and legs it wouldnt absorb nicely, and would leave your skin with a sticky waxy feeling.
