A. If ΔABC is reflected across the y-axis, what are the resulting coordinates for points A', B', and C'?

B. Sketch the reflection on the coordinate plane.

The coordinates will have the same y-value but all x-values will become negative. So for example if A is (3,0), A’ would be (-3,0) and so on for B’ and C’

Answer:

A' = (-1, 6)

B' = (-2, 1).

C' = (-5, 2).

Explanation:

Reflection over the y-axis---> (a, b) transforms to (-a, b).

So A (1, 6) ---> A' (-1, 6).
