Explanation:

To find the slope, all we need to do is plug in both coordinates into the slope formula and the result will be the slope.

the slope formula is
(y_(2)-y_(1) )/(x_(2)-x_(1))

to make it easier, we can label each x and y as x2, x1, y2, and y1 (it really doesn't matter which y or x value is the one as long as they are from the same pair like (4,3) can be x1 and y1 but can't be x2 and y1)

(4,3) (x1,y1) (1,-1) (x2,y2)

so just plug it into the formula and solve:


m=(-1-3)/(1-4) =(-4)/(-3) =(4)/(3) or 1(1)/(3)
