How do you calculate the average of a set of numbers?

You add all of the numbers of the set and how many numbers there are.

Here is an example:

The set is: {3, 7, 2, 9, 1}

There are five numbers, 3, 7, 2, 9, and 1. We then add all these numbers.

3 + 7 + 2 + 9 + 1 = 22

22 divided by 5 = 22/5 = 4.4

The average number between the set, "{3, 7, 2, 9, 1}" is 4.4.
