now, if we take into account that a WHOLE is always one, and we can partition it in many ways, say 295/295 = 1, or 313/313 = 1, so the whole amount of homework is 1 fraction wise, thus

\begin{array}{ccll}amount&fraction\\\cline{1-2}27&(3)/(11)\\x&1\end{array}\implies \cfrac{27}{x}=\cfrac{(3)/(11)}{~~1~~}\implies \cfrac{27}{x}=\cfrac{3}{11}\implies 27\cdot 11=x\cdot 3\\\\\\297=3x\implies \cfrac{297}{3}=x\implies \boxed{99=x}
