Explanation:

a. the volume of the larger barrel =

π.r².h = 3.14 × 2² × 5

= 3.14 × 20

= 62.8 cu. ft

b. the volume of the smaller barrel =

3.14 × 2² × 3

= 3.14 × 12

= 37.68 cu. ft

or it can find the volume by using

the subsraction :

100.48 - 62.8 = 37.68 cu. ft
