According to data collected by the CDC from 2010 to 2020, the agency estimates that the flu has caused 12,000–52,000 deaths annually.

Answer:

Roughly around 250,000 to 500,000 WORLDWIDE

But in the U.S alone about 3,000 to 49,000 (from 1976- 2006)
