You rode your bike on a 6 and 1/2 mile path. You sister rode on a different path that was 2 and 3/10 miles long. How much farther did you ride?

To solve, the first step is to find the LCM (least common denominator). In this scenario, it's ten.

6 5/10 - 2 3/10

From here, do the math. It's easy this time, what's 5 - 3? Two.

Now, subtract two from six. (four)

4 and 2/10

4 and 1/5
