D) y = 2x − 8

Answer:

Solution given:

y=2x+4.....[I]

Comparing above equation with y=mx+c

we get

m=2

Since the another line is parallel,

its slope will be equal.

m=2

Since it passes through (3,-2)

equation of a line is

y-y1=m(x-x1)

y+2=2(x-3)

y+2=2x-6

y=2x-6-2

y=2x-8 is a required equation of a line.
