Question :-
How does height affect the speed of a falling object?
Answer :-
Equation:- v²-u² = 2aS
let the case of body be dropped
- u = zero ( initial velocity )
- a = g ( constant falling under gravity)
- S = initial height of the body from the ground
- v = final speed of the body
by further solving :-
v²-0 = 2aS
v² = 2aS
2a is constant
so :-
v is directly proportional to the √S
so we can say that speed of the falling body increase with increase in the square root of the height from which is dropped or falling
