How do you calculate the rise and run to find the slope of a line?​

Divide the change in y over the change in x

if you have 2 points (a,b) and (c,d) it's

slope= (b-d)/(a-c)

Divide the rise by the run to calculate the slope (A positive slope means the line goes up from left to right, but a negative slope means it goes down.)
